Owning a Personal Bookstore, or what happens when Courtney starts cleaning on a Saturday night.

For those who know me, they know that I like Harry Potter and Twilight.

For those who know me well, they know that I also have Jane Austen in my book collection, and that Counte of Monte Cristo is one of my favorite books of all time.

For those who know me best (the select few), they know my favorite author is F. Scott Fitzgerald, and that I also own manga... in more than one language.

But the true extent of my book collection is unknown to anyone, including myself.... until right now.

So, tonight, on a Saturday, whilst cleaning my room (gasp at that please), I decided to go through my books to see what I should get rid of and to keep... and I figured out that I own a version of Beowulf. I was overly shocked, and felt the need to figure out the EXACT extent of my book collection.

Ready to find out? Because I just dumped three bookcases onto my bed and I'm ready to figure out what's here (yeah, don't ask why I decided to put this on my blog, but here ya go!). :)

okay, wow. That took me 2 hours to do... in case anyone was wondering. Any books with an * behind them mean that I'm getting rid of them (they're currently in a huge pile on my rug, whilst every other book is put back neatly on the bookshelf! Go me!).

So, what can be taken from this "little" experiment? Hmm.... I did a research paper on F. Scott Fitzgerald in 11th grade, and one on JonBenet Ramsey in 12th... I haven't gotten rid of a single book since freshman year of highschool.... I bought a lot of the AP English books because I liked them.... I have a really odd range when it comes to reading books.... that, after all of that, I never counted the numerical amount of books I have. Oops. haha.

Well, there ya have it. I'm gonna go switch my laundry now, get a glass of water, and then go on to work on some more of my room before I do some math homework! :)

on a side note (kinda), responses on this so far:

Me: *sends picture of bed to Jason*
Jason: I'm gonna come book shopping in your bedroom now. Wow.

Jenni: OMG r u crazy. The books are going to rise up and rule the world!

30 day challenge!

SO hi. I started a blog on my weight watchers site (yay two blogs), and really really liked the idea... so I figured I would use it on here two....
It's a 30-day Blog challenge (I found it here: http://community.weightwatchers.com/Blogs/ViewPost.aspx?threadID=1250288 ), and it's suppose to help start a blog and find yourself etc for weight loss (woohoo).
so..

Day 1- A recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself.

How recent can you get than a Christmas picture, right? The guy I'm seeing took this of me at the Holiday party for the law firm I work at, week 1 of weight watchers. Love the dress, HATE the full frontal photo (thus why the side one is here haha).

Now for facts...
1. I'm less than 2 months away from being 22, and am tired of looking the way that I look (aka ----> that).

2. I am on the verge of being in a relationship with an awesome guy (one who watches Glee and texts me about it! YAYY), and am completely happy about it. We've been seeing each other for 2 months, the 1st month being the friend/dating stage, then the second month being the serious stage... tonight's our first Christmas type of ordeal (woohoo again).

3. I work 2 jobs, and am currently typing this up at one of them (which has a comfy chair and my own desk... aka not Depot).

4. I am an Elementary Education major and working towards my bachelors degree.

5. I just made Dean's List with said major. Yeah... I'm really happy. :D

6. I have an obsession with the brand Aerie, which makes women's undergarments (geared towards the twenty-somes), workout clothes, pjays, shirts, winter wear, and cosmetics. It's my love and I can easily spend about $100 there every time I walk in the door...

7. I also have an obsession with cute office supplies, especially post-it notes, and my office desk (and bulletin board) are COVERED in different colors... I got a bunch for Christmas, and cannot wait to add them to the array.

8. I'm starting to learn how to cook... and bake both. Very very slowly, but I'm working on it. Last week, I made (with the help of the gentleman mentioned in #2) Chicken Cordon Bleu... and it was OH SO DELICIOUS. Like Siriusly. omg. wonderful. And I love making Red Velvet Cake as well... besides that, uhh, I can burn chocolate really well. As I said, working on it.

9. I love pretty dresses. But I can only wear 1 style, which has to be an A-line (think of a ball gown) skirt, and usually needs a halter with it. I like the poofs lol. My goal for losing weight is to be able to wear pretty dresses and skirts much more often than I do now (hooray for self concious).

10. I'm very picky with my style... I hate prints, and will not wear them... especially if they look like triangles because they make me look bigger. (gross)

11. My favorite story is Beauty and the Beast... for Christmas, I got 9 items regarding said movie.... a Lenox Belle, a Snowbabies Belle, a Jim Shore Belle/Beast, two reusable shopping bags, a Belle bell ornament, a Children's book with the story, the DVD, and a scarf (that I have yet to figure out how to work). I'm a happy Courtney.

12. I love to read and I go through books like there's no tomorrow... currently working on the Count of Monte Cristo (unabridged, so it's 117 chapters), it should take me a little haha. I started it 2 days ago, and am about 150 pages in.

13. I love ribbons. They're wonderful accessories for the hair... if cut long enough.

14. I love bright colors, except if I have to wear them. I feel that bright colors are better to be looked at... for instance, my favorite color is lime green, but you are seriously mistaken if you think you will catch me in a shirt that color.... dark green, yes, lime green? hell to the no.

15. I am a die-hard Philly sports fan... and am going to go watch the Eagles kick ass tonight with my guy at Buffalo Wild Wings, and am extremely excited about the prospect of it all.

So yeah, now let's see if I'm any good at this whole updating EVERY day thing, shall we? :)
