Sorry!

I'm switching websites...

I have a lot of people who use wordpress, and I've decided to abandon ship here and go there. :)

twice in one day?! (the tweets keep rolling)

Yes yes, it happened. Shocker.

Mainly, it's to share this, because it made my day:

GreekPrincess89: @kortni24 yay I'm so proud of u. Just those calories alone will help with weight loss. Trust me!

:]

The bff so knows how to make me smile.

**Edit**
I had a second tweet to share (they make me so happy... I'm gonna need a special place for them all!)

BradGansberg: I love that you made it thru a baseball game without soda. That is a big win for you. #7daychip @kortni24

=]

(also, as a note, I started journalling my food today. More on that later, possibly tonight after class?)

Phillies!

Yeah, it says proof on it... but I stole it from the Phillies website, what do you expect? :-)

I'll get more pictures up later, once I'm at a computer where I can load actual pictures (and not just on my work computer heh).

Oh, and I had 1 beer and that was it last night (I couldn't find water for the life of me, and I was not going to break my chip for a soda!).... I've learned a lesson that I cannot leave my seat during the game, or else the other team will score and we will not (Yeah, Dan and I were walking around during the 4th and top of the 5th, sorry). But, all in all, it was an excellent game and an excellent experience that I can't wait to do again!

That's about all I can think to say now (I'm sleepy).... :]

my first chip/day 10

<~ my own personal chip. :) So exciting! Thanks Brad. :)

Hey look, two days in a row (and it's because I was put on a google blog roll, and I'm super excited about that fact! haha).

So, I am currently on day 10 of having no soda (meaning I am 1/3 of the way to my #30daychip! ahh), and it's getting much easier when I walk by the soda machine in the break room. Before, I had to force myself to stop staring at that little ginger ale button (seriously, my favorite), but now I'm like "eh, whatever. I want tea. It's cold" and I go and make myself a cup of tea.

Today, however, I'm about to go onto my second bottle of water. And it's just 11 (I'm also about to start working on my 10th case for the day... which is much better than yesterday, where I only got through 8 of them).

The hardest part of today is going to be going to the Phillies game (OH MY GOD) tonight with Dan... because it's like: $7 beer, $4 water, or $2.50 soda. :( :( ughhhh stupid money! I will probably end up having 1 beer (because then I can say I had a beer at the Phillies game. WIN), and drinking water the rest of the time. Hopefully they're in bottles so I can just refill instead of buying more. Who knows, I was 10 the last game I went to.

Speaking of Dan.... actually, no, I'm not opening that can of worms just yet (Dan is pictured up at the top, the only guy up there lol). I'll get in to that another time, right now I really need to get some more filing done!

oops...

Oh, um, wow, I haven't updated in a while, sorry about that.

Been busy and everything... switched over to full time at the law firm, weekends at depot, school full time and such. Also was in Florida a month ago (yay Harry Potter world!), and then came home to deal with a break up (not yay)... and then found out that I was never really the "girlfriend," I was actually the "other girl" which kinda really sucks. Guy #6 to cheat, man I really get the good ones, huh?

In better news... I am on my 9th day without a soda (8th without an energy drink, which is an even BIGGER feat!), and my head is pounding right now. But I joined this group on twitter (see the tweets on the side! haha), and we all help each other towards healthy goals, which is really helping me with this soda thing.

You get a chip (like a reward) when you hit a milestone... my first one was at 7 days (thus the #7daychip thing), and I was so proud. I wasn't even able to go three days last year when I tried to give up soda for lent (it lasted to my 21st birthday haha). Next is a 30 day one, than 100 days. I'm determined.

I'm gonna ask Brad if I can get an individual 7daychip to put on here so I can show it off (though not many people read this eeep).

Ok, enough break time. I have filing to do!

Owning a Personal Bookstore, or what happens when Courtney starts cleaning on a Saturday night.

For those who know me, they know that I like Harry Potter and Twilight.

For those who know me well, they know that I also have Jane Austen in my book collection, and that Counte of Monte Cristo is one of my favorite books of all time.

For those who know me best (the select few), they know my favorite author is F. Scott Fitzgerald, and that I also own manga... in more than one language.

But the true extent of my book collection is unknown to anyone, including myself.... until right now.

So, tonight, on a Saturday, whilst cleaning my room (gasp at that please), I decided to go through my books to see what I should get rid of and to keep... and I figured out that I own a version of Beowulf. I was overly shocked, and felt the need to figure out the EXACT extent of my book collection.

Ready to find out? Because I just dumped three bookcases onto my bed and I'm ready to figure out what's here (yeah, don't ask why I decided to put this on my blog, but here ya go!). :)

okay, wow. That took me 2 hours to do... in case anyone was wondering. Any books with an * behind them mean that I'm getting rid of them (they're currently in a huge pile on my rug, whilst every other book is put back neatly on the bookshelf! Go me!).

So, what can be taken from this "little" experiment? Hmm.... I did a research paper on F. Scott Fitzgerald in 11th grade, and one on JonBenet Ramsey in 12th... I haven't gotten rid of a single book since freshman year of highschool.... I bought a lot of the AP English books because I liked them.... I have a really odd range when it comes to reading books.... that, after all of that, I never counted the numerical amount of books I have. Oops. haha.

Well, there ya have it. I'm gonna go switch my laundry now, get a glass of water, and then go on to work on some more of my room before I do some math homework! :)

on a side note (kinda), responses on this so far:

Me: *sends picture of bed to Jason*
Jason: I'm gonna come book shopping in your bedroom now. Wow.

Jenni: OMG r u crazy. The books are going to rise up and rule the world!

oops

ok, so I failed miserably at the whole "30 day challenge" thing... but I haven't really had a chance to be at a computer recently, so don't blame me kay? :)

Once again, sitting at work... and I get off in like 20 minutes, so I'm trying not to start anything new (I guess I could file a few smaller cases but I'm lazy right now) so I thought I'd pop in and say hi again before I'm off to see the boy for foods and gambling... heh. I'm gonna be shown how to play roulette today, I'm exciteds. and hoping we win some monies because we could both use it! :)

Yeah, that's about it mostly... I got Sharon to put on white dresses for me, and put one on myself (it was Belle <3 ), so that was cool. I also got to see Leah over the weekend, which was an epic win, and celebrated New Years with 4 out of 5 of the closest people in my life... the 5th (Jenn) was in Philly meeting a cute boy, but at least she got kisses for NYE too ;)
I couldn't have wished for a better way to spend my NYE, or with a better group of people. Dan, Eric, Jason, Leah, and me... lots of dancing, champagne, and Leah & my first shots of tequilla... which did nothing to either of us (nor did it taste bad at all), so we were both really happy.

Well, that wasted about 5 minutes... cuz now I have 15 left. Might as well work on at least 1 case, right? :)
