Phillies!
I'll get more pictures up later, once I'm at a computer where I can load actual pictures (and not just on my work computer heh).
Oh, and I had 1 beer and that was it last night (I couldn't find water for the life of me, and I was not going to break my chip for a soda!).... I've learned a lesson that I cannot leave my seat during the game, or else the other team will score and we will not (Yeah, Dan and I were walking around during the 4th and top of the 5th, sorry). But, all in all, it was an excellent game and an excellent experience that I can't wait to do again!
That's about all I can think to say now (I'm sleepy).... :]

oops...
Been busy and everything... switched over to full time at the law firm, weekends at depot, school full time and such. Also was in Florida a month ago (yay Harry Potter world!), and then came home to deal with a break up (not yay)... and then found out that I was never really the "girlfriend," I was actually the "other girl" which kinda really sucks. Guy #6 to cheat, man I really get the good ones, huh?
In better news... I am on my 9th day without a soda (8th without an energy drink, which is an even BIGGER feat!), and my head is pounding right now. But I joined this group on twitter (see the tweets on the side! haha), and we all help each other towards healthy goals, which is really helping me with this soda thing.
You get a chip (like a reward) when you hit a milestone... my first one was at 7 days (thus the #7daychip thing), and I was so proud. I wasn't even able to go three days last year when I tried to give up soda for lent (it lasted to my 21st birthday haha). Next is a 30 day one, than 100 days. I'm determined.
I'm gonna ask Brad if I can get an individual 7daychip to put on here so I can show it off (though not many people read this eeep).
Ok, enough break time. I have filing to do!

30 day challenge!
It's a 30-day Blog challenge (I found it here: http://community.weightwatchers.com/Blogs/ViewPost.aspx?threadID=1250288 ), and it's suppose to help start a blog and find yourself etc for weight loss (woohoo).
so..
Day 1- A recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself.
How recent can you get than a Christmas picture, right? The guy I'm seeing took this of me at the Holiday party for the law firm I work at, week 1 of weight watchers. Love the dress, HATE the full frontal photo (thus why the side one is here haha).
Now for facts...
1. I'm less than 2 months away from being 22, and am tired of looking the way that I look (aka ----> that).
2. I am on the verge of being in a relationship with an awesome guy (one who watches Glee and texts me about it! YAYY), and am completely happy about it. We've been seeing each other for 2 months, the 1st month being the friend/dating stage, then the second month being the serious stage... tonight's our first Christmas type of ordeal (woohoo again).
3. I work 2 jobs, and am currently typing this up at one of them (which has a comfy chair and my own desk... aka not Depot).
4. I am an Elementary Education major and working towards my bachelors degree.
5. I just made Dean's List with said major. Yeah... I'm really happy. :D
6. I have an obsession with the brand Aerie, which makes women's undergarments (geared towards the twenty-somes), workout clothes, pjays, shirts, winter wear, and cosmetics. It's my love and I can easily spend about $100 there every time I walk in the door...
7. I also have an obsession with cute office supplies, especially post-it notes, and my office desk (and bulletin board) are COVERED in different colors... I got a bunch for Christmas, and cannot wait to add them to the array.
8. I'm starting to learn how to cook... and bake both. Very very slowly, but I'm working on it. Last week, I made (with the help of the gentleman mentioned in #2) Chicken Cordon Bleu... and it was OH SO DELICIOUS. Like Siriusly. omg. wonderful. And I love making Red Velvet Cake as well... besides that, uhh, I can burn chocolate really well. As I said, working on it.
9. I love pretty dresses. But I can only wear 1 style, which has to be an A-line (think of a ball gown) skirt, and usually needs a halter with it. I like the poofs lol. My goal for losing weight is to be able to wear pretty dresses and skirts much more often than I do now (hooray for self concious).
10. I'm very picky with my style... I hate prints, and will not wear them... especially if they look like triangles because they make me look bigger. (gross)
11. My favorite story is Beauty and the Beast... for Christmas, I got 9 items regarding said movie.... a Lenox Belle, a Snowbabies Belle, a Jim Shore Belle/Beast, two reusable shopping bags, a Belle bell ornament, a Children's book with the story, the DVD, and a scarf (that I have yet to figure out how to work). I'm a happy Courtney.
12. I love to read and I go through books like there's no tomorrow... currently working on the Count of Monte Cristo (unabridged, so it's 117 chapters), it should take me a little haha. I started it 2 days ago, and am about 150 pages in.
13. I love ribbons. They're wonderful accessories for the hair... if cut long enough.
14. I love bright colors, except if I have to wear them. I feel that bright colors are better to be looked at... for instance, my favorite color is lime green, but you are seriously mistaken if you think you will catch me in a shirt that color.... dark green, yes, lime green? hell to the no.
15. I am a die-hard Philly sports fan... and am going to go watch the Eagles kick ass tonight with my guy at Buffalo Wild Wings, and am extremely excited about the prospect of it all.
So yeah, now let's see if I'm any good at this whole updating EVERY day thing, shall we? :)

Insert catchy title here, because I can't think of one.
Let's see. I woke up, cut the grass in the backyard (very boring), and took a water break. This would be the moment I realized oh hey, I have an im on AIM. hmm.
It was from a good friend who's currently in Saudi. Whom I miss dearly... as well as his random texts (that I'm apparently not allowed to hate on, or so he says). This guy also happens to be my dad's coworker, and is at the moment deployed alongside of my cousin. So, seeing his name pop up, obviously I was a happy Courtney. It was a "yayyy Jason" moment.
Then, cut more grass, got a shower, and made icing for my red velvet cake (yumm. my favorite thing to make!). And talked to Jason some more. He got mad at me, and told me I was a jerk because he also happens to be partial to this cake, and he wanted some. Too bad he's at a different part of the earth.
I tried to watch Glee during this time period, but... my computer was being silly, and Jason was iming. So, I only saw the first 5 seconds.
Then, I had to go to work, which is really where all the good stuff (and bad stuff) of today happened. Which is why I had a hard time trying to figure out where to start... so all this stuff above? Yeah, that's just like a foreshadow of how rollercoaster today was. That up there is totally mundane.
If you ever need a pick-me-up for your mood, let me tell you what you need to do.
Step 1. Bake a cake.
Step 2. Make your own icing.
Step 3. Take it to work.
Dude. Seriously. I felt soooo good about myself after everyone kept coming up to me going "Courtney. I tried your cake. Best. Cake. Ever." No lie. I cant even tell you how many people said that! I have yet to be this proud of my cooking/baking abilities.
Wait, no. That's a lie. I forgot about the orgasm-in-your-mouth pancakes from Cedar Crest that Nadine and I made when we were trying to get rid of milk. (A dinner of eggs, chocolate-chip-cinnamon-pancakes, mac & cheese, and choc chip cookie dough ice cream? Epic win) But... I haven't made those in about two years. So, don't know if that counts anymore.
I feel like the cake thing happened a lifetime ago now however. It was gone within about two hours! And I never did figure out who took the last piece... but I did manage to force some down Lou's throat this time around with making it, which I must say I'm very proud of myself for. :)
But... the reason that it really feels like a lifetime ago is because for the past three hours now I have looked like I've seen a ghost. I don't think I've come out of my scared/shocked mode yet.
We had this huge storm roll through tonight, lasting a little under two hours for the most part (there's still a little bit of lightning and thunder going on right now), and I'm really not a fan of storms. And by not a fan, I mean I'm completely terrified. I've come a long way with it though... ask Leah, she'll tell you (Creation? Yeah... that wasn't pretty). But tonight? I've been a goner since the lightening really started to hit.
I was standing by the front doors (since thats where I'm stationed with returns anyways) with MOD Tony, and we watched as three things happened simultaneously:
Lightening hit by the hospital across the street.
The rain and wind picked up to a full force.
and
The door to our right flew open and wouldn't close.
Obviously, an open door is not the best thing to have during a storm, so Tony went over and turned the power off on it. As he was trying to close the door shut (which is made of glass and metal, mind you), there was a HUGE bang and the next thing we both know he's on the floor next to me (20 feet or so away from the door) and we are both screaming.
Though Tony doesn't even remember the screaming because, well, I'm not sure. ha. But people came rushing when they heard the bang, and they said Tony looked like he got shot the way he was rolling away. But he was totally standing there and then the bang and he flew to the ground and just, well, rolled.
Let's just say, my fear of the storm increased and I was on the verge of tears for the rest of the night, much to both Will and Lou's amusement. Boys ugh. Will kept texting me telling me the different ways lightening can travel to hit me, while Lou kept trying to get me to go to the window to watch the lightening (and he was working the lot too, so he would go "Okay, I'm gonna go play in the storm! Hope I get hit too! woohoo" like an idiot which was making me go "no Lou get your butt in here now! STOP!!!!" yeah...). I'm very put off with those two right now, which is sad. They're two of my favorites.
I'm still slightly in shock of all this, but now I'm sitting on my bed in my Aerie sweats (LOVE), with my cup of chai (DOUBLE LOVE), and I'm a bit better. Until it hits me.
I still haven't watched last night's Glee yet. Crap.

time flies when you have "fun"?
So let's see... it's been what a month since I've updated? hmm, what's happened? Oh, I went to Mississippi! :D yay. It was a great trip, and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. I actually tried to stay with Fab Fattie's challenge, but I didn't get home in time to email points or anything... And you got 50 points for every good deed you did each day... so I wonder how many points a mission trip would be worth??? lol.
Weight watchers is going splendidly. I lost 1.6 last week, for a total of 11 pounds! yayyy. It's so exciting to see the scale go down, as well as my clothes! Mom and I went Old Navy shopping the other night, and I bought mediums in the tops. First time I bought a medium in a designed-for-an-average-woman shirt in forever... usually I'm a medium in mens, not women! So it's a big acheivement for me to say the least.
I've been watching these three kids this summer as well... or, as I like to call them, my three terrors. They're sweet and adorable until you get to know them, especially the oldest Johnny (11). He wears a patch for his ADD, and if he doesn't have it on... watch out cuz you're screwed. omg. And then the other two are girls... I haven't figured out which yet, but one of the two is a chronic liar. I'm thinking it's the youngest, Lindsay (6), because she cries and does anything to get her way... but then again, Sarah (10) seems like she'd be able to get away with it better than Lindsay would. I thought I didn't want kids before I met them... yeah, now I'm pretty certain I never want kids (sorry mom and dad, you're stuck with if Patrick has kids).
Speaking of the little bro, he's staying at his girlfriends house... and has stirred up quite a bit of drama in the family with it. As well as with his visiting his mom multiple times, and not wanting to see his dad at all. I keep expecting him to call me and be like "Court, help. Jess is preg." but he hasn't... yet. He called me once or twice during the past few weeks that he's been home, but not really to say anything at all... I think he really only called because our grandmothers knew him and I weren't talking and it made them upset (I came to that conclusion because he got my number from one of the mommoms).
But yeah, life's crazy... working at Macys is like a workout. Especially with putting away clothing! I've been in swim since I've come home from MS, and I am constantly moving every moment I'm clocked in! I even managed to pull something in my shoulder while at work from carrying too much at once... but the part that annoys me the most is watching people BUY the suits. There are just some bathing suits that are NOT meant for your body, ladies! The worst thing someone could do is shove their body into a bathing suit too small for them...... and then they think it's a perfect fit, or that it looks bad because it's too big. Some of the people, I look at the purchase and just want to laugh and say "where is the rest of the suit?!" because it would hardly cover one of thier thighs! It's terrible.
Ok.... I think I've calmed my brain down enough to be able to sleep for tonight (and I didn't have to talk about boys, etc!!!)... So, if I remember, I'll be back in the next few days or so!
Love, me <3

Insanity is slowly slipping away...
Hey look, it's me! O.O wow... I'm getting there lol.OK, so I'm working through stuff for my last final (which is TODAY) (and chemistry... *whimper*), and I think I've totally passed my capacity to take things in. 4 finals, 4 days in a row... I'm so exhausted, I can barely stand it... :(
BUT! It's the LAST FINALL!!!!! Which means... at like 6 tonight, I will be on SUMMER BREAK! And that right there my friends is the best thing ever. :) Because summer means that me, and Kelli, start to run a lot. Like 4 days a week... it's pretty much a C25K thing we do, so maybe this year I'll be able to do a 5K. Last year, when we started the running program, I couldn't run. And that's not an understatement... The interval was 2 minutes running, and I could barely do 1 minute. It was a disaster.
If you ask Kelli, I've come a looooooong way since then.
But anyways... (yes, this IS me being a procrastinator. But you try doing CSBs [aka Chem Skill Builders] when your brain has completely shut itself off. It's impossible) I just wanted to say that FABFATTIE'S CHALLENGE IS GOING TO BE STARTING SOON! AND YOU SHOULD JOIN ME!!!!!!! Because it's going to be fun, and exciting, and earning points is always the best! Not to mention, it's a great excuse to be healthy and active!!!! :)
So yes... join me! YAY! :)
Ok... I'm going to go back to my studying/homework now.
OH and for those who read any of my fanfic that might be looking..... I have half of chapter 8 for Traveling Soldier written, BUT I refused to write anymore until I was done with finals.... which means... I SHOULD FINISH WRITING IT TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
And I'll try to get something for my other two stories worked through as well... I know the people who read those stories probably hate me right about now. Oops. :(
Leave me messages loves! I'm looking forward to lots of encouragement over the next 2 weeks while I work through this challenge (my first during WW!).
Love, me <3

So, before I head back to my notes and notecards... with my highlighter!... I thought I'd also admit that the hardest part is going to be giving up the soda, or (even worse) my Monster!!! I have a can of the Blue Monster (yay lo-carb!) sitting right next to me, OPEN, so that I can restore my energy and try to not pass out with these notes! ACK! urggggg. :(
Also, as for my WW journey... I've lost a total of 7.8, 2.4 of them last week! Yeah!!! I have a feeling this week's already messed up (and it's only Tuesday) because I haven't done much of anything except cram for all 4 of my exams (silly things like finals and classes and universities, right?)... but I am hoping to get more active and less Monster-dependent in the next couple of days.
I leave for Mississippi next Saturday (the 6th), right during fabfatties challenge, BUT I know that I'll be able to do it! :)
Alright, no more putting of the studying... let me know if you're joining us in the challenge.
Love, me. <3
